June is LGBTQIA+ Pride Month and the recognition is becoming more mainstream as manufacturers and retailers launch collections to support LGBTQIA+ love and community.

Many retailers have adopted slogans to help celebrate love in all of its forms. Adidas’ 2022 campaign says, “For this year’s Pride, our goal is to bring visibility Clarks Shoes to the many voices of the LGBTQIA+ community, honoring those who continue to push society forward.” Meanwhile, Sperry proclaims, “Our journeys are not the same. But the celebration of self-love and self-expression are.”
Other brands are just as bold and heartwarming when it comes to developing their Pride merchandise.
Started in the wake of the 1969 Stonewall Riots, officially recognized by President Bill Clinton in 1999 and formalized by President Barack Obama in 2009, Pride Month is an endorsement of diversity. The most common acknowledgement and support icon is the inclusive rainbow, something you’ll find on attire across the spectrum.
